Santuario Vision

A Catholic pilgrimage that draws thousands, annually. From Santa Fe, NM to Chimayo, NM. The walk is 26 miles, though many start from various points. Their sacrifice comes with prayers for healing. Once reaching the Santuario, walkers collect "holy dirt" from a hole within the little church, that continually refills itself. Many carry large wooden crosses on the journey to replicate Jesus' arduous walk to his crucifixion. Testimonials to miracles after walking are abundant.
