Stumbled upon this graffiti at one of the shores of Lake Michigan. The waves crashed against the benches, drowning out the written words. The way overwhelming emotion eventually, inevitably, drowns out the empty platitudes we toss out to each other. Only to recede again.

I'm a thirty year old woman from Chicago, and I love to capture the hidden beauty of the city and the suburbs. The Midwest is not known for it's awe-inspiring landscapes. But that's what makes it all the more special and rewarding to dig through the ordinary and still find little bits of magic.
