Hyacinth Macaw

A Hyacinth Macaw is the worlds largest parrot, known for its striking, uniform cobalt-blue feathers, powerful black beak, and distinctive yellow skin around its eyes and lower jaw. While vacationing in Florida, I took this shot during a visit to St, Augustine's Alligator Farm Zoological Park. Besides its large collection of reptiles, the zoo also houses mammal's and birds.

I am an amateur photographer, and it is my favorite hobby since retirement from Aerospace. Living on the Central Coast of California, I love to photograph just about everything in nature (landscape, seascape, and wildlife).
