Five Years No Rain
I took this photo during the five year drought in California. It was taken at Lake Berryessa. This photo to me says our world is ever changing; yet the small green weeds growing from the deep dried up lake bed offers hope.
Native to Missouri, I’ve always been surrounded by green nature. That’s why the photo was such a shock to me. I was born an artist. Really never nurtured or encouraged to create until high school. My daughter talked me into gong to school when I turned 50. I studied painting and printmaking.
