Boy Fishing
On a late April evening in Collioure, France, I frantically paced the weathered cobblestone in search of the perfect shot. The sun was bright, the water warm, and locals reclined along the shore with an ease and certainty that felt foreign to me. Then a boy in a red shirt climbed over the barricade, sat at the water’s edge, and began to fish. I took one photo, which you see here, and put my camera away. He asked for no attention, yet reminded me how to simply be.
