Competition & sharing - Brooks Falls Brown Bears

This is a very exclusive picture that I took during our recent summer vacation at Alaska Katmai National Park,Brooks Falls. We saw brown bears congregated at the Brook Falls for Salmon fishing when the salmons were spawning on month of July before the brown bears go for winte hibernation. This picture also shows competition among bears and sharing of salmon. We saw around 30 such brown bears in Brooks Falls. Brooks Falls is the home of world’s largest protected brown bears (estimated 2,200).
