Vernal Falls

Standing in front of this breathtaking waterfall, feeling the cool mist after such a challenging hike, is a moment I’ll never forget.

This trip reminded me how much I need to spend more time outside, slowing down and admiring God’s creation. There’s something so peaceful about being surrounded by His handiwork that puts everything into perspective.

I left this hike with sore legs, a full heart, and a soul that feels reset and replenished. I’m so thankful for this life I’ve been given and for experiences like this that remind me just how beautiful the world is.

My name is Brooke, and I’m from Texas. This summer, I visited Yosemite National Park for the first time and hiked over 9 miles to Vernal and Nevada Falls. It was the most challenging thing I’ve ever done, but the view made every step worth it.
