Bugs and Mugs

The little rabbit ended up in my backyard. At first it was hoping one of the squirrels was it's mother. Bugs followed them all over and learned to eat sunflower seeds I put out. The table was made as a joke since raccoons were destroying my bird feeders. Aside from squirrels, raccoons, and birds feeding there, we had cotton rats and voles. One day my husband came inside and said "Get your camera". I went outside and saw this cutest sight. We were privileged to have watched little Bugs grow up.

I live surrounded by old plantations, a nature center, and very few neighbors. I've always loved the outdoors and animals. The peace and tranquility I experience is enhanced by my daily contact with the local creatures. There have been many close and friendly encounters that will always be with me.
