I photographed Hey Dude at a local rodeo at Duke Farms in October. What drew me to this moment was the quiet strength in his stance the dust lifting from the ground, the light cutting through the arena, and the sense of weight and presence before the action began. This image is about pausing long enough to see the power that exists in stillness.
