Where the Mountains Meet the River
The Kootenai River cuts deep through the canyon just downstream of Kootenai Falls in Montana, where crystal-clear pools can reach depths of nearly 100 feet, as seen in this photograph. I captured this moment in autumn as dusk settled over the valley with a storm looming in the distance, casting dramatic light across the rugged landscape.
