Hershy's Upsherin

While the chalaka is a busy and emotional time, we can’t forget the mothers who lovingly sacrifice their little boys’ beautiful hair. As a photographer and mother, I knew I wanted to capture a moment that highlighted those precious curls before they were gone. When this idea came to me, it was a true “eureka” moment — and from there, we headed straight to the studio to bring it to life.

I’m a photographer in Upstate NY, and I focus on capturing life’s most precious and innocent moments. That “aha” feeling of photographing a newborn’s tiny breath at two weeks old, or a little boy just before his payis, fills my heart with more joy than even the best cheesecake ever could.
