Growing through the cracks

A victim of ostracization and stereotypes, misunderstood and stared at children cry wolf, crowds pause as if before an eclipse on skin. Yet this anomaly is no fault of theirs. Through my lens, there is pulchritude freckles on albino skin, patches called vitiligo. Where excess melanin is villainized elsewhere, its absence is here we fear what we do not understand, though it is simply pigment underproduced. They are as human as any of us, only more visible.
