Joe, is my 1st born son. When his 1st child, Velina 9, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, he and his wife, Emilie’s life changed forever. Unknowingly at the time on the day of her diagnosis, Emilie was newly pregnant with their 2nd child, Presley. New diagnosis, new parents, Joe and Emilie have advocated for Velina and championed every step of her growth with grace and perseverance. Joe, an NYPD officer and Emilie, also NYPD, changed their schedules and raising two happy daughters!
