Espacios
This photograph was taken in a hairdressing salon in Havana, in 2022. This photograph belongs to a series called "Espacios", a series of photographs and videos that I have been developing since 2019, in Cuba, and which are definitely a look to the urban contours inhabited by waiting. A wait contextualized in the economic, social and migratory crisis of the Cuban people, and a decadent city that seems frozen in time.
Alejandro Acevedo (Camagüey, Cuba, 1988) His interest in photography stems from a personal and self-taught approach, which had a turning point when he was diagnosed with Otosclerosis. The gradual loss of his hearing made him focus more on the visual and silent part of his reality.
