First dive

I was diving for the first time when I came across a small turtle. I say it was a small turtle because it was the biggest I had seen, and it was the size as you see it about 2ft top to bottom, and 1.5ft side to side. But I was warned to back away, when the mama, which was over 4ft top to bottom. I was told it could have broken my arm or leg if it bit me, but it got part of my inflatable jacket.
