American Dream
My 88 year old father with dementia and kidney cancer had tears of joy the moment he realized he was in “Baltimor” with his accent. Memories came flashing back with his love of baseball. He came from Puerto Rico as a young man and joined the military. He was stationed in Ft. Meade and it’s like his dementia went away for a moment. His love of baseball and country came together. He told our family at the end of the night, game ball in hand, “I feel like a king!” It was a dream come true.
