Wild Horned Owl Fledgling Making His Debut
I had been photo journaling the second season of Horned Owls nesting at Moreno Valley College, Moreno Valley, CA where I worked. One afternoon one of the owls decided to fledge from the nest and found some security in the ground cover. He was soon confident enough to fly to a more secure location off the ground. But before that and while I had his full attention I was able to capture some close up shots of this magnificent bird.
I have always had a fascination with wildlife and photography. Throughout my life, I have been blessed to be able to work aroun wild and exotic animals. Birds have always been amongst my favorites. With camera always in tow, I have been fortunate to capture quite a few special moments like this one.
