Storm on the Mountain

Traveling through southern Colorado, the Tashi Gomang Stupa became my destination. Perched up on Sangre de Cristo Mountains, high above the San Luis Valley, getting there would be a test. As the monument came into view, a storm started brewing up higher. Knowing how fast mountain storms develop and the power they carry, having gotten to see the stupa from a distance, I retreated to lower ground and safety. My reward: witnessing the beauty that followed the storm.
