“Spring Awakening”

Grand Tetons National Park in Western Wyoming is truly a national treasure trove of beautiful high country landscapes, and wild roaming creatures like this beautiful young adult grizzly who I discovered this last Spring by herself in a meadow hunting for ground squirrels. I observed her from over 150 yards away with my binoculars and just watched her move around the meadow, unbothered by my presence. As she moved closer to my position I was an able to capture a few beautiful portraits.
