Graduation

My daughter Laurie is 52 Years old and has Huntington's disease. It's a genetic terminal illness. She never got her degree in chemical engineering until I contacted her community college. She was given a certificate of completion. I was reaching to kiss her. Laurie is non verbal, on a feeding tube and needs 100 % assistance. We were very proud of her and she was very excited. She had a graduation cap & gown along with her diploma. A dream come true for her.

I've been an advocate for Huntington's Disease over 30 years. Lost my husband to HD. Our daughter inherited the HD gene from her father. I have done training about HD for police, fire, hospitals, anyone willing to learn about HD. I help care for my daughter. I've spoken to Congressmen and Senators
