The Flash on Lake Erie
A beautiful Summer Sunset on Lake Erie. Allowing the camera to capture the Blue Flash right as the sun disappeared off the horizon. A blue flash sunset is a rare atmospheric optical phenomenon occurring when the last sliver of the setting sun momentarily shows a blue color, caused by the Earth's atmosphere acting as a prism to refract and separate sunlight into its constituent colors. The blue flash is a more elusive and uncommon version of the well-known green flash. Cameras can capture images not visible to the human eye due to fundamental differences in how they record light. Unlike the human eye, which is constantly adapting and processing a complex stream of visual data, a camera captures a single, objective moment.
